Paris
Paris
is the capital of European Nation, France. It is also one of the most beautiful and famous cities the world.
Paris
is called the City of Light. It is also an international fashion center. What
stylist women are wearing in Paris will be worn by women all over the world.
Paris is also famous for its world center of education. For instance, it is the
head quarters of UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and
Cultural Organization.
The Seine River divides the city
into two parts. Thirty-two bridges cross the scenic river. The oldest and
perhaps the most well known in Pont Neuf was built in sixteenth century.
Sobonne, a famous university, is located o
the left bank (South side) of the river. The
beautiful white church Sacre Coeur lies on the top of a hill called
Montmartre on the right bank (north side) of the river.
There are many other famous places in Paris,such as the famous museum the Louvre as well as the cathedral
of Notre Dame. However, the most famous landmark
in this city must be the Eiffel Tower. Paris is named after a group of people
called Parisii. They built a small village
on an island in the middle of Seine River about two thousand years ago. This island
is called lle de la Cite. It is where Notre Dame located. Today around eight
million people live in the Paris area.
ADJECTIVES
Adjective describes noun and pronoun. They
give you more information about people, places, and things.
KINDS OF ADJECTIVE
Ø Some adjective tell about the size of people or things.
e.g. : they built a small village
on an island in the middle of Seine River about two thousand years ago. This
island is called lle de la Cite.
Ø Some adjective tell about the color of things.
e.g. : The beautiful white church Sacre Coeur
lies on the top of a hill called Montmartre on the right bank (north side) of
the river.
Ø Some
adjective tell what people or things are like by describing their quality.
e.g. : There are many other famous
places in Paris,such as the famous museum
the Louvre as well as the cathedral of Notre Dame. However, the most famous landmark in this city must be the Eiffel
Tower.
Ø Some adjective tell what things are made of. They refer to substance
e.g. : a plastic plate
a rubber glove
a metal spoon
a wooden table
a wooden wall
a bamboo house
Ø Some adjective are madefrom proper noun of places. These adjective are called adjective of origin.
e.g. : a Javanese food
an Indonesian dance
a Korean drama
an Indian movie
an Italian fashion
THE ORDER OF ADJECTIVE
Ø Sometimes several adjective are used to
describe a single noun or pronoun. When you use two or more adjective , the
usual order is : SIZE,QUALITY,COLOR,ORIGIN,SUBSTANCE.

ADJECTIVE ENDINGS
Adjective have many different endings
Ø Some adjectives end in – FUL . these adjectives describe noun or pronouns that are full
of something or have a lot something .
e.g : a powerful boy colorful flower a beautiful girl
a wonderful place a helpful person a successful student
Ø Some adjective end in – ous
e.g : a famous actress
a prosperous country
a mysterious boy
a indigeneous person

end in –y
e.g : a lazy student

adjectives end in –less. These
adjective describe a person or thing that does
not have something
e. g : a useless plastic

Descibing What Something
Is Made Of
Some nouns can be used like adjective. For example, if you have a
chair that is made of plastic, you can use the noun plastic as an adjective and
say that the chair is a plastic chair.. if you hve a watch that is made of
gold, you can say it is a gold watch.
But the nouns wood and wool can’t be used like this. To make
adjectives of these nouns you have to add en.

Describing What Something
Is Like
There’s
another way to make adjectives from nouns. Suppose you want to say that
something is like a certain
material, although not made of it. To make these adjectives, add –en to some nouns and –y to other nouns.
